Ingredients

Om Gold Rice Bran Oil
For the Dough
  • 2 cups Rice Flour
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1 tsp Om Gold Rice Bran Oil
  • A pinch of Salt
For the Filling
  • 1 cup Grated Coconut
  • ½ cup Jaggery (adjust as per sweetness)
  • ½ tsp Cardamom Powder
  • 1 tsp Om Gold Rice Bran Oil
  • 2 tbsp Chopped Dry Fruits (Cashews & Raisins)

How to Make
It Perfectly

  1. Prepare the Dough:
    • Boil water in a pan with a pinch of salt and 1 tsp Om Gold Rice Bran Oil.
    • Gradually add rice flour, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
    • Cook on low flame until it forms a smooth dough. Cover and let it rest.
  2. Prepare the Sweet Filling:
    • Heat 1 tsp Om Gold Rice Bran Oil in a pan.
    • Add grated coconut and jaggery. Stir well until jaggery melts and blends.
    • Mix in cardamom powder and chopped dry fruits. Cook for 2 minutes and let it cool.
  3. Assemble the Pitha:
    • Take a small portion of the dough and flatten it into a small disc.
    • Place a spoonful of the sweet filling in the center and gently seal the edges, shaping it into a dumpling.
  4. Steam the Manda Pitha:
    • Grease a steamer with Om Gold Rice Bran Oil.
    • Place the dumplings and steam for 10-12 minutes until firm and glossy.
  5. Serve warm and enjoy the authentic taste of Odisha.
