Ingredients

Om Gold Rice Bran Oil
Essential Ingredients
  • 1 cup urad dal (black gram lentils)
  • ½ inch grated ginger
  • 2 finely chopped green chilies
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • Chopped coriander
  • Salt – to taste
  • Oil – for frying

How to Make
It Perfectly

  1. Soak the Lentils: Take 1 cup urad dal (black gram lentils) and soak it in water for 4-5 hours. This softens the dal for easy grinding.
  2. Make a Smooth Batter: Drain the water and grind the dal into a thick, smooth paste. Add only a little water—we want the batter thick so it holds shape.
  3. Add the Flavor: Mix in ½ inch grated ginger, 2 finely chopped green chilies, 1 tsp cumin seeds, chopped coriander, and salt. Stir well.
  4. Shape and Fry: Heat oil in a pan. Wet your hands slightly, take small portions of the batter, and shape them into flat rounds. Gently drop them into the hot oil.
  5. Golden and Crispy: Fry on medium heat until they turn golden brown.
  6. Serve & Enjoy: Eat with coconut chutney or ghuguni!
